February 1978                     : Head of "Wilayah III" Office (Third Regional Office),
                                            Directorate General of Sea Communication, Jakarta.
August 1978                        : Secretary General of the Directorate of Sea Communication.
May 1984 - February 1991    : Director General of Sea Communication, Jakarta.
April 1991                           : Counselor to the Minister of Technology in Maritime
                                            Technology.
March 1993 - June 1997       : Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Great Britain, including the
                                            Republic of Ireland.
March 1998 - July 1998        : Head of Batam Industrial Development Authority.
July 1998 - April 2000          : Counselor of Batam Industrial Development Authority
