Born in Rappang, South Sulawesi, 29 August 1954, after having passed the preliminary, secondary and high schools, studied at the Faculty of Shipbuilding Department, ITS University, Surabaya, and academically graduated in 1980.

Accomplished various tasks and assignments at PT. lndustri Kapal Indonesia (Persero) as staff of Production and Planning Control of the Gresik Unit, as Marketing and Production Manager and Daily Caretaker ofthe Padang Unit.

At PT. lndustri Kapal Indonesia (Persero) of the Makassar Unit:
  ø As Proiect Manager of Maintenance of fishing vessels ovmcd by various owners.
  ø As Production and Control Manager of the newbuilding of 3,500 DWT Tanker and the
     newbuilding of two (2) units Pusher Tug Boats of 2 x 1,300 HP owned by Pertamina.
  ø As Design Engineering & Production Manager.
  ø As Marketing and Procurement Manager of the Makassar Head Office.
  ø As Marketing Manager at the Jakarta, Representative Office and collected orders for
     newbuilding of three (3) Ro-Ro Vessels. In the same position as above for newbuildings
     of 31 units of Tuna Long Liner Fishing Vessels each of 3OO GT capacity for Mina Jaya
     Project.
  ø As project Manager of Multipurpose Training Fishing Vessels ordered by Ministry of
     Education and Culture.
  ø As Project Manager of 10 units of Pole & Line Fishing Vessels ordered by PT. Usaha
     Mina (Persero) under ADB Loan

All above aciivlies have been performed during the period of 1979-1991. The last position was consular to the Board of Management at PT. Iridustri Kapal Indonesia (Persero), Makassar, in 1992. After wards changed job and started at PT. Rekapola Bahari (Marine Consultant), Jakarta.
